What is the most important step you can take to prevent gynecologic cancer? “Visit your gynecologist for regular checkups and discussions of any bodily changes so that cancers can be detected and treated at an earlier stage,” says John Dalrymple, M.D., a board-certified, fellowship-trained gynecologic oncologist affiliated with Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital. He is also the director of the division of Gynecologic Oncology and associate professor in the department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston.
